The 12-second version
Please read this bit
1. The deal
These Terms govern your use of Void (the “Service”). By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use or purchase through the Service.
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and make online purchases where you live. If local law requires a parent or guardian’s permission, get it before using the Service.
2. What a purchase means
Every Void purchase is a one-time payment for digital entertainment. There are no recurring charges or hidden subscriptions. Before payment, we show the amount, package, and what you receive.
- A digital badge based on eligible successful spending.
- A downloadable satirical Certificate of Regret.
- A shareable regret card and, when chosen, public recognition.
- Access to the accompanying jokes, animations, and celebration.
You do not receive a physical item, ownership interest, token, NFT, investment, prize, financial return, resale right, or item with monetary value. Payment processing may be handled by a third-party provider under its own terms. Please see our Refund Policy for help when a real payment becomes a real mistake.
3. Accounts and guest purchases
You may purchase as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for accurate information, reasonable account security, and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access.
Guest purchase links and certificate links may act as access credentials. Keep them private unless you intentionally want others to see the material.
4. Public, anonymous, and private choices
When purchasing, you can choose how the purchase appears. A public named purchase may show your chosen display name, amount, badge, time, and funny message. A public anonymous purchase replaces your public identity with “Anonymous Genius.” A private purchase is not placed in the public feed or given a public purchase page.
“Anonymous” describes how you appear to other users; it does not mean the payment is anonymous to us or our payment provider. We may still process information needed to complete the transaction, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
5. Keep the chaos harmless
You agree not to:
- Use hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, or harassing names or content.
- Impersonate another person or falsely suggest their endorsement.
- Probe, disrupt, automate abuse of, or bypass security for the Service.
- Use stolen payment methods, commit fraud, or manipulate public statistics.
- Present Void badges or certificates as financial or tradable assets.
We may hide inappropriate names, remove public content, limit access, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users and the Service.
6. Ownership and permitted use
Void branding, site design, copy, and original assets belong to the Service operator or its licensors. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive right to use and share the certificate, badge, and regret card for ordinary non-commercial fun. It does not transfer ownership of the brand or underlying designs.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us the limited permission needed to host, format, moderate, and display it according to your visibility choices.
7. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service working, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may fix, change, pause, or retire features. Historical purchase records and legal obligations will be handled with appropriate care.
Package names, jokes, visuals, and future badge rules may change. A later change will not silently increase a completed payment or convert it into a subscription.
8. Ending access
You may stop using the Service or request account deletion from Settings. We may restrict or end access for serious or repeated violations, fraud, safety concerns, or legal requirements. Some transaction records may be retained where required for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided for satire and entertainment. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided “as is” without promises that it will improve your finances, reputation, mood, or group chat. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses caused by use of the Service. We remain responsible where the law says responsibility cannot be limited.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated version and revise the date above; material changes may receive an additional notice. Continued use after an update means the new Terms apply from their effective date.
Questions, complaints, or unusually thoughtful objections can be sent through our contact page.
